NOTE: The entire tournament will be played on the exclusive DDRTenKay Commotion Mix; a compilation of every arcade released mix to date including every song legally sold in Japan and the USA.

It differs from the DDR10K Mix because TenKay Commotion Mix includes approximate 150 songs that will be eliminated from the US release in the following year. In exchange, DDR10K (but not the Commotion Mix) will include an additional 100 new songs chosen by the winners of the tournament. Each member of the top placing team will create their own non-stop and oni course as well. All players in the top 4 teams will receive copies of DDR10K when it is released.

SCORING:
For Qualification, a player's score is the number of Perfects doubled, plus the number of Greats and Okays. Each players scores are totaled to equal the Team's Score. Top 24 teams (120 players) go on to Elimination.

In Elimination Rounds, teams will compete head to head (players can change play order, but cannot play outside their division). The player's score is the number of Perfects doubled, plus the number of Greats and Okays. First player picks the song, Second Player picks the mods. Players will switch for selecting the second song and the third song is picked by ROULETTE on SHUFFLE.

A team's score is the total of each player's score, regardless of division, however each team will be scored in both Maniac and Trick Divisions (the total scores of the players in their division). At the end of each Elimination Round, the teams with the higher scores of their head to head match up will advance. To qualify for the Grand Prize, the top four teams must pass the other teams' scores in BOTH Maniac and Trick Division.

Scores will be updated after each game and a live leaderboard will show the rankings at all times. No judges can alter the scores. If a dispute about interference comes up, the judge can decide to void that game and the players in question will play again.

If at any time a player's scores are exceptionally far above or below the curve in their division, the judges reserve the right to move them to the appropriate division without refunding the registration fees.

If at any time a player is graded D or E, that player will be removed from the tournament and their scores voided from their team's total. The team can opt to continue without them or withdraw, giving the opponent a bypass to advance.

Tournament Play will be in session from 10am until the end of the last team's match (which should be no later than 9pm). Practice is allowed in the arcade booths during all other hours (the booths ONLY are open 24 hours, the Main Hall will be locked after the last match each day.) Sign up for the booths will be available near the registration tables. During peak practice hours, team members should share one machine so no team is forced to wait.

If players have any questions about rules or regulations at the TenKay, the can consult any staff member. A unanimous ruling from the Legends of Maxx is final at TenKay. Competing in the 10K Commotion is entirely at will and any members can withdraw at anytime, without refund. The Sponsors reserve all rights to the final decision about the Grand Prize, as stated in the official rules and regulations.
